Bwindi Mountain Gorillas
BWINDI, SOUTH WESTERN UGANDA
Wildlife photography of mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, southwestern Uganda.
Bwindi is one of only two locations in the world where mountain gorillas can be observed in the wild, and is home to roughly half of the global population. The forest itself is dense, multi-layered, and difficult to navigate — conditions that define both the gorillas' habitat and the challenge of photographing them.
The series includes close portraits and wider environmental shots, capturing individual behaviour, group dynamics, and the relationship between the animals and the forest canopy they inhabit.
