UWA: Biodiversity Operations in Murchison Falls
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK, UGANDA
Photography done for the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to document systematic biodiversity maintenance within Murchison Falls National Park. The focus of this assignment was the technical recording of field-level conservation protocols and veterinary interventions.
The documentation captures two primary operational streams:
Specimen Monitoring: Procedural photography of elephant collaring operations, including chemical immobilization and the installation of satellite telemetry hardware.
Threat Extraction: Visual recording of ranger-led patrols focused on the detection and decommissioning of wire snares to ensure area integrity.
These records provide a direct visual account of the professional labor and specialized tactics employed to mitigate wildlife threats and manage population health.
