Arnold Mugasha is a freelance photographer, cinematographer, and documentary producer based in Kampala, Uganda. He works across landscape, architectural, urban, aerial, and wildlife photography, as well as documentary and commercial film production.
His background includes over a decade in the creative industry, spanning graphic design, animation, illustration, and camera work. He has worked with clients including The Walt Disney Company, Marriott Hotels, WWF, and the United Nations. His images have been published in Time Magazine, Town & Country, Dezeen, and Nature Sustainability. Arnold is a three-time Uganda Press Photo Award winner. His film credits include location photography for Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, an animated anthology series produced for Disney+ and aerial camera operation on Bobi Wine: The People’s President, a National Geographic documentary that won the Peabody Award and IDA Award for Best Feature Documentary, and was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 96th Academy Awards and the BAFTAs.
He is a Uganda Civil Aviation Authority licensed drone operator and holds a remote pilot license from Bar Aviation Academy. Aerial photography and videography are a core part of his practice. Outside of client work, he maintains personal projects across photography, illustration, and music — interests that inform his visual approach and keep his work grounded in observation and craft. He is open to collaborations across documentary, commercial, and personal projects.
